Who is Addoha?

Founded by Anas Sefrioui, Groupe Addoha is Morocco’s main developer of social and affordable housing. It has delivered tens of thousands of homes in the country’s big cities and also builds mid-range projects. The group has expanded to several countries in West and Central Africa.

A bumpy stock market journey

Listed in 2006, Addoha first rose strongly with the property boom, then fell for a long time as the sector slowed, unsold stock grew and debt increased. The group then launched a recovery plan focused on cutting debt and generating cash. Today it is a very popular, heavily traded stock among individuals.

Growth drivers

  • Public housing support, such as direct aid for home buyers.
  • A long-term shortage of affordable housing in Morocco.
  • Land reserves for new projects.
  • African markets with fast-growing populations.

Risks to watch

  • The real estate cycle and interest rates.
  • Debt and the ability to turn stock into cash.
  • Dependence on public incentives.
  • Price swings: the share is very popular with short-term traders.

Frequently asked questions

Why does the Addoha share move so much?
