Managem and the MASI: where things stand
Trading in Managem, suspended since October 30, did not resume during this session. The company has asked for it to resume on November 3: see our article Managem asks to resume trading.
The Casablanca Stock Exchange has also temporarily restored the free-float and capping factors in force before the October 29 review. According to Infomédiaire, work on the index’s new management rules is due to finish within one month.
To understand this better
- Volume is the total value of shares traded. When it is concentrated in a few stocks, the index and the volume may not reflect what happened in the rest of the market.
- Market capitalisation is the total value of listed companies at the day’s prices.
- A change over one session says nothing about what comes next. To read these figures, see our guide reading stock prices.
