Managem is back, with a sharp fall
Suspended since October 30, Managem was trading again. The Exchange published a resumption notice on November 3 (reference 141/26). The share opened at 1,343 dirhams and closed at 1,370 dirhams, down 8.05%. Boursenews links this fall to the return to trading and to changes in metal prices.
Managem also led the central order book with 195.92 million dirhams, about 64% of the 305.14 million traded on this book, according to our calculation from the official table. Next came Attijariwafa Bank (24.09 million) and Douja Prom Addoha (12.73 million). Not all mining stocks fell: Minière Touissit gained 3.69%, while SMI lost 3.74%.

To understand this better
- The central order book brings together the buy and sell orders shown on the market.
- The block market is used to trade large packages of shares, separately from this book. A few trades can therefore push up a day’s volume sharply, without general activity being stronger.
- Two indices can move in opposite directions because they do not contain the same stocks, or the same weights. A change over one session says nothing about what comes next.
